The Brownie Recipe

Having brought my partner’s Brownies into the office a few times I have had multiple requests for the recipe – and more Brownies.
And so I give you, The Brownie Recipe (ta dahhhhh).

250g melted butter
2 1/3  cups castor sugar
90g cocoa powder
1 cup sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking powder sifted
5 eggs

1. Melt butter and combine with castor sugar with a mixmaster or beater
2. Add the cocoa powder
3. Break in the 5 eggs, 1 at a time
4. Add sifted flour and baking powder
5. Fold in chopped chocolate, nuts, marshmellows, whatever you like.
6. Line a lamington tray with baking paper and bake at 165 degrees for 40min.

Is it really that my other half makes great Brownies? Maybe. They are VERY good.
– But I have brought in other foods-from-home that have also bought similar acclaim
Maybe she is a great cook? Maybe. There is lots of good food that comes from her kitchen.
– But I know there are other home chefs and partners of home chefs who we are all very thrilled we have in our lives.

Or maybe we just appreciate the effort these people put in for something that we all get to enjoy.
